Ford Genesis 8670 fuel filter housing

New Holland want $943 plus GST plus freight, for a new fuel filter housing. They don't know how to go about cross referencing to an aftermarket part. (Can't be bothered)

Sparex and Harvestaire can't help. Wagga Tractor Parts, Fleetguard, and Amazon, can supply one that fits the filter, but has M16 ports instead of the 1/2" UNO that it should.

Yes, I could make up some adapters for M16 ports, but I shouldn't have to. It shouldn't be so difficult to just get one that is right.

Anyone know of any other good suppliers that are worth trying?

Unavailable it says. Try a diesel shop.
This sure looks like what you have.
Thought I saw those heads both ways with metric or standard ports.
I wonder if a guy could make a business out of cross referencing OEM parts to original manufactures and selling at closer to cost. I guess some guys do this. Just tough to make an easy way for the common guy to look it up and google puts you toward the top of the list when searching. The markup if often 300% at the dealer for the same part. Frustrating.
The filter genuine filters that go on there are branded parker I think. I would assume that parker make the filter head and bowl as well.
Have you got a leak on the hand pump? I notice that your filter is plumbed between the lift pump and the injector pump as the early tractor were. There was a program to change the plumbing so that the filter was before the lift pump. The rubber hand primer didn't cop the pulsations and pressure like it does with the way your tractor is set up now.

I would like to know more about this, my tr98 has a chronic losing prime problem.
I have an 8870. I replaced the filter with one that doesn't have the plastic cap on the bottom. My priming problems went completely away.
On the TR98 the fuel filter head has a spring loaded flap that works as a check valve under the inlet port to the filter. I've seen many times a piece of chaff caught in this little flap preventing it from sealing. Remove the filter from the head and look up into the filter head. It may be a different head on your machine that does not have this flap.
Same thing happened to me, after cleaning the flap still lost prime. One used and a new filter housing later still issues.

Yes, it's leaking from the primer pump.

Looks like my tractor missed the program to change the pipework.

Fleetguard can't help.

Parker can't help.

I'm not going to a wrecking yard because a second hand one is probably no better than the one I have.

A couple of suppliers can supply one with M16 ports. I can understand if the one I have with 1/2" UNO ports is not available. But the one that is available has M16 ports? Why? What sort of machine has metric fittings on its fuel lines? Seems a bit odd?

Maybe an option to upgrade your lift pump to one with a hand primer on it an install a filter head with no bleed screw or primer pump. Here is a photo of an 8970 with this set-up and plumbed as I described so the filter is before the lift pump. Just put a new hand primer on this tractor, was $33.

I had the same problem with my new Holland tv 140. The newer style fuel filters did not fit the original filter housing very well so I had constant problems with air getting into the fuel system . Very frustrating, I purchased a few fuel filters but made no difference . I was able to get a new filter housing from mazer that came with the original filters . That worked . I think that black or grey plastic ring cap that screws on the housing is a silly idea to seal a fuel filter tight. I sold the tractor soon after . What’s worse is parts for those tractors are not made anymore I believe .
