I did some cultivating with my 5088 IH last week .The cultivator is set at 4 inches deep I think I was burning about a liter an acre. I filled it up just before starting and the field is deep black soil. Good or Bad?

That is great. We are cutivating muddy low ground and burning at least 4 litters per acre.

I use around 40 l/hr and do 10-15 acres an hour depending on what I am pulling.

I burn that much with the harrows....not that I really care to keep track.

Do you mean gallon? I burn about 1/2 gallon per acre seeding. That is great.

Some guys have all the luck. My fields all seem to be up hill both ways.

well i will go fill the tractor up at the bulk station again and then I will know for sure

I put in 225 liters before I started the field and it is more than half full by the gauge and I did 100 acres

Nothing is easier on fuel I dont think than a 436 or 466 IHC engine
