When spraying fungicides, what does everyone do for headlands? Do you do normal headlands or just cover the field and leave the booms on when making your corners at the ends? Mostly cereals here, canola isn't looking like it will need yet.

Was just wondering if anyone noticed a difference in yield loss due to more traffic on the headlands vs. no headlands. If it even makes a difference, desiccate in fall and do normal headlands but not having to fill every 30acres with rup saves a few trips to the approaches.

Would there be the possibility of surfactant burn from over application while turning with the booms on?
Exactly my thoughts. You need to be careful about booms slowing down and over-applying, especially in hot weather.;)

I do 1 headland with fungicide. :)

I do two passes on headlands. I follow same paths all season so come fungicide time I can clearly see sprayer roads in the field. Crop is compacted in those paths so I stay in same paths on headlands while spraying fungicide.
