Put it in fixed mode and make sure parameter bars are all the way apart. That might help. Make sure you grease the cutterhead bearings a lot also, they can get noisy and set off metalert
FX58 metalert
The metalert on our FX has started acting up, as in is always "alerting" and stopping the feed rollers from going forward. We thought it was just something in the metal detector itself and we only had one more day of chopping left to do, so our neighbor let us take his back-up roller with all the guts still inside. It worked for about half a day and then started doing the same thing. We aren't sure where to start looking for a loose wire or wherever it could be. Anyone else ever had this before? Other than this, it has been a really good reliable machine for us.
