Can I replace a valley gearbox 52/1 with a zimmatic 50/1? I have been told you can, but I can't see them been interchangeable ..

We replace with aftermarket gearboxes. They have several bolt hole patterns. The long neck models fit valleys. The short neck will fit zimmatic and reinke. Valley's have a deeper rim and have to have the long neck gearbox to make it fit.

I would change both gearboxes on the same tower because the speed won't match. If the rims don't work you could flip them.
