Noticed on one field im getting more then a few patches of Canada thistle, got to spray Roundup again soon, was wondering if 1 litre of 540 will kill it or should I add something? Sadly the bastards are two feet tall

I would spray the whole field at full rate and hit patches a second time.

Adding lontrel would be expensive. I would just use a regular rate now and let it regrow until your fall pass, then the 1L rate will toast them when they are storing energy to roots. Now they aren't.

You have to wait till later in season when it is storing up sugars for winter then hit it with a liter of 540. Anytime after mid august is good as long as there is good plant growth
