I have a K2 that I ran this year and it got me through the season. I'm a young farmer just starting out so bear with me. When I was finishing up this past year the nut backed of the drive shaft/input shaft into the transmission and threw the drive belt. After getting the belt back on sheave when I let out on the clutch the shaft slows way down almost to a stop and the combine will not pull itself. Does this mean the clutch is busted? The tension idler on the drive belt is all the way out so I assume I am going to need a new belt as the old one appears to be stretched.

If you haven't run it long that way you might get by with new key(the one the flew away when it first loosened up)and tighten crap out of it.Like Doc says its tapered. Can't hurt to try because if it don't work you're going to have to replace shaft and hub anyway.Nothing to lose.
