You just might have plastic cuttings from the manufacture of the fuel tank plugging the screen inside the bottom of the fuel tank and there is probably another screen between the tank and the fuel filter. Don't ask how I know.

There are 2 metal screens, 1 in the tank and 1 close to the fuel filter. Both of ours clogged last year everytime the fuel tank got low. Drained the fuel this winter and flushed the tank. Just yesterday, omce again, the screen next to the fuel filter clogged full of plastic cuttings from the manufacture drilling the holes in the tank. We must not have gotten the tank flushed well enough.
