Hey guys, we are getting fault codes concerning our fuel rail. The codes are 385: Fuel leakage detected during low idle. 386: Fuel leakage detected by quantity balance. 391: PRV recognised as open. We started getting the codes and they got more frequent throughout the day. We get a lot of black smoke and then a fault code appears and de-rates the engine. We cant even drive 100 yards and a code will appear. We have been sitting for 4.5 days now and still have the dealer stumped. We changed the fuel rail sensor, the PRV on the fuel rail, and the filters. Any suggestions would sure be appreciated.

Thanks for the replies...the relief valve is brand new..one of the first things we replaced. Dealer came out and replaced injectors today, still didn't work. Getting really frustrated since we haven't cut an acre for 5 1/2 days and counting.

Well today the dealer was finally able to hook the computer up to the machine and decided to change the high pressure pump or injection pump. This still did not fix the problem. We checked those filters for the plastic last winter when we had to drain the tank and put #1 fuel in it. The next thing to change is the fuel rail, its the only thing left. Which the dealer does not have, so at least 1 more day down and no combine. Thanks for the feedback guys, keep it coming.

Our problem ended up being the fuel rail. It was washing out by the relief valve. We are starting to get the same codes starting to show up again, so I think we are washing the new one out already. I would be willing to bet it is your fuel rail which is relatively cheap compared to the other options. I just ordered another one just in case and it was on backorder....makes me wonder if there are a lot with the same problem. Well good luck, hope you get it figured out.
