I finally got to my bin bottom today. I had no idea how bad mine was. I was losing a little grain when unloading, about a pound, but I must have been losing some in the field. I did not notice it when checking behind the machine but there was some pretty bad holes. Anyway it went in very well. I cut it and the mount plates to length then put them in the bin. I washed it out very well before starting. I put a screw driver under the polly to hold it up under the auger as my boys tapped it until it was under the auger. It covered very well and the screws were a little hard to get to on some but I did not even take the auger shield off, that may have helped. Just wanted to let you guys know it worked well and looks real good. Took about 2 hours or less.

Wow we just did one two years ago with a metal replacment bin bottom. That thing was a beast getting into the bulk tank not to mention taking off the unloading auger and bin auger. The job took several days but it did turn out really nice. How does the poly bottom compare with regular steel when it comes to wear? I have another one to do this year.

I would defiantly recommend this bin bottom. As far as wear, it seems very strong and I think it will last very well as the poly is not abrasive and should stand up. I looked at the other steel bottom and it scared me to change it. If the bottom is just bad under the auger this will fix your problem. This was on a 84 n6
