Can't find where it is coming from. Is it the seal or over greasing the rotor. I added 6 to 8 shots 3 days ago, now have a problem. I don't think it is from over greasing! I could maintain rotor speed with no load but as soon as i feed in some crop speed drops off until warning light comes on
The seal in the piston too vary the speed is leaking. as it is a single acting cylinder the pressure bleeds down and the drive sheave opens up and your speed goes down.
I overgreased my sheaves before harvest. It took a round or two before the belt quit slipping in the heavier areas. I don't know if it helped, but when it started slipping, I got out and wiped away as much grease as I could. At first I too thought something was wrong as it seemed I was wiping away more grease than I had applied.
