Have hard starting 8010 , grid heater light in the cab key switch post doesn't light up. anyone know what temperature it is supposed to come on at?

If it`s a 2005 or newer the light in the cab won`t light up they used that pin for something else. Mke sure you have a full 12 volts to the hot post on the heater this comes off the battery side of the alternator. It won`t work under 12 volts so do a load check on the batteries. If working let the heater go until the pro 600 completely fires up. 55degrees F is where they`re supposed to come on

It's an 06 so everything makes sense now, batteries low on voltage so battery replacement should fix the problem. Thanks

I was also told to wait until the monitor fully powers up as this gives it sufficient time to heat properly.
