Ground speed

Hallo guys,

My 9650sts shows on the corner post 1km/h difference than my gps monitor i have installed. Is there a way to change or check the tire size settings on the cornerpost? Maybe the tire size is incorrect to get speed correct acording to gps.
Thanks.

Been over 15 years since since I did this, you program in mm tire radius, adjust to match so GPS and mechanical readings dance on each side of each other, others here likely remember/know the address.

Its in the cornerpost settings....check your owners manual or talk to your dealer.

You dont recall more or less where in the corner post settings?
These twoipages from the service manual may help. Making sure you have the right values in 107 & 112 would be primary. Not sure how 113-116 work. I would think you could play with 112 until your speeds match.

If you know roughly what % it is out simply apply that to the existing number and unlike some cals the higher the cal # the higher the reading.
It is a multiplication factor cal, not a division factor cal.
does it really matter. i haven't looked at the corner post for 10 years.

Its about 1km/h slower than the gps. Will play with it. Many thanks.
But at what speed? 4 vs 5 is 20% off, while 29 vs 30 is only 3% off......

Funny you should say that.
I set cal to match speeds in the 5 to 10 km/hr harvesting zone however on the road with that proper cal for harvesting speeds while GPS reads 41 the combine mechanical reading will be 42.5. No idea why it’s not perfectly linear.
If you keep cal at default on Claas tracks it always displays slightly understated actual speed at harvest speeds.
