Looking to add a Narrow tire dry spreader to the fleet. Interested in this unit because of the engine/power train. Needing input and opinions on the ride, balance, power, and longevity of the Prowler. Is an 1149? 2004 model.

I have heard they are very "custom". Not many parts available.. Which can be an issue.. Not like Deere ect...
If you have your own shop and mechanic ability on the higher scale you will do great.. Our local coop ran a few a very long time..

We have a Vector 300 and a GVM prowler 9275. GVM rides rougher, sits lower, doesn't have the power the vector does, and road speed tops at around 40mph. That being said, it has been dependable and fairly easy to work on. We ran both, hard, most of the summer. Both GVM and Vector parts have to be overnighted in for us, so that about the same. The vector is just a bit more fuel efficient, or so it seems. If the money right, go for it.
