It did for alot of people in the east aswell, those that were lucky enough to get their wheat of before the rain got prime hard, and those that didnt, had their worst year ever. It seems like there arent any headers left in EA, and even fewer contractors.
Its been a real mix of happiness and desperation acros the run.
nice looking Tr89 you don't see many of them over here(Western Canada). Where is Mullewa I spent some time in Katanning area in 99 custom spraying but we did not get to stick around for harvest . What is the front wheel assist on the grain cart looks like a nice outfit. Glad to here you guys got a crop after the trouble you've had the last couple years. Whats the capacity on the 89 should be similar to a 99 with less Hp?
Thanks Lentil, The 89 is a good machine when its going, it is getting to the age where it was having a few breakdowns and is going to need a fair bit of money to get back up to scratch. When the weather is hot (40 C plus TR's LOVE the heat) it will keep up with just about anything if you have the crop to feed it (a bit of a challenge here sometimes). As far as actual capacity goes maybe something average around 30 t/hr across the day in good conditions.
The tractor on the chaser is a TG210 and is a really good machine. Unfortunately the same cant be said for the chaser as it is getting a bit old (I spent a constructive two days welding all the cracks up before harvest).
Mullewa is in the northern wheatbelt about 100 km from the coast and only about 20 km south of the edge of cropping country. We are about 50 km south of town.
