Does anyone know when Case came out with the heavy duty cone installed standard in the 2388s. We are looking at a 2388 and the dealer states that they replaced the vanes, but in the 1680's when the vanes needed replaced almost always the cone needed replaced at the same time. However the dealer has stated that with the heavy cone that was standard in the 1998 2388 the cone could go through 2 sets vanes.

Any comments

Our first 2388 was a 1998 model and I had to replace the transition cone at about 1800 hrs. Yep it had holes in it by then so hope yours lasts longer. FWIW in the parts book they showed standard and extended wear cones for the 2388.

Thanks guys,

I guess I will have to go with what the dealer said. They had the rotor out and the replaced the rasp bars, and they redid the vanes, I know if it was me the cone would have been done at the same time, but they say it was fine so I guess we will see. The unit has 1200 rotor hours

Thanks again
