Looking for opinions or experiences with using steep pitch helicals on both the threshing AND separation ends of a R72 cage. Spent some time laying in the cage this evening pondering this. Currently have 68 pitch at threshing end and since the sep end bars need replacing I'm seriously cosidering putting in the fast pitch type. Silly idea?
Boy I would think rotor loss would be a concern. I talked to one guy that did it and he fought rotor loss. He did say it was great in green stemmed beans for through put.
