I have a wierd problem with grain loss over the sieve. When I start combining my grain loss is very low, but as I keep going especially through heavy wheat my grain loss goes way up and I have to stop and let the combine clean out before starting again. I tightened the fan belt and this seemed to help but still will do it once in a while especially if I make the combine work. Now I don't know if this is normal with a gleaner? On our tr's we can make them work and still have low loss. One guy told me it sounds like I have a small seed kit installed. I might but couldn't see any baffles of any kind unless I don't know where to look. As you can tell I am totally new to gleaner. Any other Ideas what is happening here? Thanks.

I would check leaf screen under fan to see it is not clogging and cutting down air flow when you notice the problem. Might check to be sure no one has drasically reduced speed of clean grain elevator system. If machine has light seed dampers you would find handle for upper duct damper just to inside and forward of mainshaft pulley on left side. Handle for lower duct would be very near shoe drive belt.
