Putting up a grain dryer and two 10000 bushel hopper bins on a cement pad how thick does the concrete need to be I have a good foundation built and packed real solid underneith thanks
I'd go 20" with 30 mpa, 15mm rebar on 2 profiles @ 1' square on each profile. Yes, perhaps that is overkill, but you only have 1 chance at getting right.
We always build our pads to engineering spec provided by the hopper or bin manufacturer (Westeel in our case). The specs give rebar spacing and everything.
