Hi there. In extremely tough straw conditions, like damp grass straw, how much HP can the chopper drive take of say a 2388 or similar, before the dry belts slip or gear lube cooks? Even in a new condition chopper with sharp knives and new belt and pulleys, in high gear speed?

Also, while I'm asking, how about the seperator drive gearbox on those same machines. How much power are they good for? I know they can run quite a corn head which is I think the most power using header? If I wanted to use the seperator gear box to run something else, can it take a lot of power applied?

Thanks.
