rebuilding part of my hugger head today and see the some of the drive sprockets for the gathering chain have a little play in them on the shaft. do I need to investigate or leave along. Sprockets are good shape and prefer to not change them. Also sprocket on auger has some play in it too. any thoughts on that. Thanks Greg

To get rid of the play on the sprockets for gathering chains we added set-screws to the sprockets. To do this we drilled holes in sprockets directly opposite the key I believe, and cut threads for the set screws.

Takes some time but works great. This should be done at factory!

Allowing play will just cause troubles. Keys will wear and you will shear bolts.
