So I bought that combine and have been running it, It has been running really well. It is a real hog, I call it the piglet. I am having trouble running it over the sieves. I've got it better this evening by opening up and putting more air to it should I open up more and let her have more air? We are in roughly 50 bushel wheat with a 22 foot head going 3 to 4.5 miles per hour depending on how tough the wheat is and how hot it is. The machine will really haul when its over 100 degrees. well thanks guys take care

Re: I bought the N5 need help me setin it up bette

We run an R series and have the air wide open. Open your top seive as much as you can. Grain can carry over with too much air, but in my experience with the N/R series they carry grain over because the crop mat gets to thick on the seives. Opening the top sieve and more aire will improve shoe loss to a point, then it will begin to blow over grain.

make sure accelators rolls are not wore out, put a pencil between them need to change them, this is heart of machine, one other thing to check, have only seen it once, drop bottom shield, look at fan are blades straight, they are loctited to shaft, brg goes out and use gas wrench, can have issues, other than that, book is pretty close for settings, there are lots of mods for machine, will post a link, scott.
