Hi everyone I bought a IH 986 awhile ago.
Came from original owner. He never used it in the winter and so he took the heater hoses and tied them to each other. If anyone has a 986 that they could take a picture or two of where the heater hoses connect to tractor that'd be great!

Nothing in the service manual but I have a burnt one sitting here I'll have a look at later on when I walk by it and see what's to be seen.

As for the hoses being hooked together, I dunno, maybe not this time, but 99 times out of 100 that is the quick and easy solution to a leak somewhere in the cab:eek:

AB beat me to it again! Working on a 1586, took pictures of it, look exactly like AB's (only not burnt)! Have to agree with him, betting when you hook up the lines you find a leak. No real reason to pull them off the head otherwise, assuming this is a northern tractor.
