All State Parts in SD may have one call 877-530-4010. They also have 3 13.5 engines. Diesel Engine Trader shows a few including a reman at IPD phone # 866-623-1978. I don't know anything about these engines or sellers I just searched the internet and found these engines. I hope it helps. I use a 12.5 in my Deere 6750 Harvester.

Would that matter?
Wouldn't it just fit up?
Or is there electronic issues matching?

Come to think of it I remember in 1998 I had a 9400/12.5 that wouldn't start.
Tech brings out an ECM, tractor started as normal and throttled up...once.
Since the ECM box was for a lower power rating the engine would only idle.
Thus completed our parts shelf diagnosis but a new matching ECM had to be ordered.
I don't know why it wouldn't run on the robbed box off a lot tractor.

Hope you get fixed up.

By the way, in this age of alarms and electronic limiting how does one "melt down" an engine?

To bad these newer tractors do not have the old murphey switch guages like on our old versatile 875 that shut the engine down once you hit a certain temperature. It is such a simple system that has helped us even this spring with preventing the tractor from overheating.

Yes electronics are different from one engine to the next plus head for 9620 is different than say a smaller model....

How do these things melt-down???? Poor pooor pooooooooor alrm system coupled with a young retard at the wheel.

By the time all parts purchased before labor and machining we are around $22000.... So let your imagination do the rest. New Reman from Deere is 49500 with warranty.

Am I the only one that thinks this is WAAAAYYYYY out of line. 49500 for a Reman???? UMMM this needs to be rethought. You best be switching dealerships cause they are screwing you hard. There's no reason a reman with a swap is more than $22000.

I rebuild them, with just the kit and labor for around 11k. Not including machine and fuel work.

I bought a reman in 2012 and it cost me $43500. It was complete drop in ready. I agree it is to much but rebuilding it was in the mid $30000's. My water pump went out and dumped water in pan. Head, cam, crackshaft where all shot.

But that's rebuilding them, likely in-frame, too. He's being quoted full retail pricing on a complete, reman, drop-in ready engine. Block, crank, rods, etc. You're rebuild is quite a bit less because you are re-using these major components. Throw in machine and fuel work, and the price tag gets steep in a hurry. Nobody is getting screwed here, there is a legitimate cost to everything.
