Got rumble in the 2388 inclined auger. Removed elevator paddle chain--still there. Removed auger--brgs good--knuckle good. Removed drive assembly and its' good. Sprockets good--drive chain good--Checked jackshaft while first running and its true and no vibration . Idle and mid range ok--- high idle the auger shakes the piss out of things. Any thoughts?

Are you sure the incline auger itself isn't out of balance? Was the flighting changed? Some of the aftermarket augers are terrible too.

Even though you mentions bearings good, it sounds like the small support bearing at the end of the auger is junked. It can spin free by hand, but if the ball cage has broken inside, it will jam up at speed.

I agree with the top bearing, I had this happen bearing was good but it was about 1/4" to low on the shaft to fit properly in flange, made everything shake.

Also have you tried turning up your radio?
