Schottfarms there is no worry about boar taint at that young age. In Europe they do not castrate males in some of the countries and butcher them as normal hogs. You can still castrate them. Make sure you use some antibiotic like penicilin to prevent infection from setting in and make your cut so the wound drains. It is also helpful to use a tranquilizer like stresnil to sedate the hog. If you do not castrate them you should butcher them on the lighter side to prevent boar taint issues.
