Is going from running 480/70R34 on front and 520/85R46 on the rear to say a 600/70R30 on front and 800/70R38 on the rear going to help with the ride on a 8130 with a solid front end, will the bigger tire cause the tractor to bounce more like I see the 3 wheel floaters do sometimes.

Our floater runs 1050 Mach X Bib radials on the rear and rides amazing ( spring suspention helps)

Our 8400 has 600's on the front and it rides good. Again air pressure makes a big difference. Little bit of bounce but not near as harsh as skinnys.

Air pressure makes a difference but thats part of the reason why larger tires can ride nicer as well. An IF800/70R38 Axiobib can handle the same load as the 520/85R46 at less than half the pressure.

If you do not need the skinny tires to fit between rows or something, wider ones have many advantages. They do not bounce much when set right. Shorter profile ones have less power hop (900/60R42 for example), don't think that will be as much of an issue with an 8130. As mentioned many floaters still run bias tires which is partially to blame for the bounce.

One thing you will have to get used to though is the "squishy" feeling they can have at low pressures where they are designed to run. Some people don't like this feeling, but that is your end goal is to reduce the harsh ride of the skinny tires at high pressures. Lower profile wide tires will have less side to side movement as well. This is only noticed when turning with something pushing you that doesn't want to turn like a big baler or manure tanker. Its not terrible and you get used to it.
