I run an 853 every Fall for Soybeans and Milo. Fellas that run a flex head around me just shake there heads in disbelief! I get along just fine with mine........don't drill any fall crops(drill is for planting wheat)..............Row crop planter is just what the name implies...ROWCROPS
My 853 was pretty well used up so this last summer, I COMPLETELY rebuilt it. Spent around $5k but it runs like a singer sewing machine now!
At $5k, friends of mine once again said......$5k, put that towards a good "flex head" I think a row head is a better fit for my farm.
