Jaguar chopping straw

Hi all,

Have spoken to feedmill guys here in Australia and they said chopping straw with a forager could be beneficial for their business. Does anybody have experience with this? What are some of the challenges you face? Does this wear a machine harder than grass or maize? What about risk of fire with knife sharpening and so forth?

Thank you.

Fire is definitely a hazard. Blow the machine off before sharpening the knives. Not sure on how much more the wear would be. Maybe the same.
Hello.
First, he will not be able to pick up dry mass with a pick-up, then throw away dry, light mass.
Second, there will be a fire.
It has already been checked - parched alfalfa does not want to climb out of the pick-up in Jaguar.
