Does anybody have a picture of a JD STS 50 or 60 series rotor built before the Bullet Rotor. Thanks

i believe it was just a cylinder inside a cylinder so to speak. The front end of the rotor wasn't tapered like it is now. Hope this helps

I have a few friends who are under the impression the Bullet Rotor is completely new from JD when in fact its their older rotor with the front tapered a little. They think JD copied Case with the auger flighting on the front.

I think the NH TR 70 was the first with the flighting on the front of the rotor. The TR 70 was introduced in 1975. Looks like I will have to find a 50 series brochure.

Many people argue that JD just copied the AFX rotor and are now calling it their bullet rotor. I have read somewhere that the White 9700 combine made in the 70's or so actually had the flighting on the front of the tapered auger to begin with so I'm not sure who copied who.
