Is a 35ft auger head too much for a John Deere T-670? We are choosing inbetween a 30ft and a 35ft, would prefer a 35 but any input would be appreciated

We got one on a 9660 walker. Put throw 60-70 plus bu wheat np. You can always slow down. Don't think it will be a problem for ya

Go for the 35ft. Have a 30ft on a 9660wts wish I would of got the 35ft instead.

No, I have seen 635's run on 9600's in wheat before. I run a 635 on a 9750 and wish I had a forty foot head. Neighbor runs a fd 70 40ft on a 2388 and cr 960.

As long as the weight of the header isn't an issue for the combine, and terrain isn't too wildly undulating for a wider header, I would always prefer to go wider and slow down.

Should be fine, run a 9660wts with 30ft in up to 70bu wheat no problem.

We are on mostly flat ground and have spring wheat crops up to 90 bushel/acre and winter wheat up to 100 bushel/acre.

35 is a perfect match for that combine, especially if you have contour master. If you don't adding it isn't a huge deal. Just switch the front frames, not the whole feederhouse.
