Does anyone know what the difference is, between a standard J.D. CTS of 1995-1997 vintage and a 1997 anniversary model.

250 rpm increase on cleaning fan.

New clamp for easier removal of dual wheels.
Plus a couple items to do with corn fronts

Except for the first item, it looks like those improvements would be on all '97 9000 series machines

I won't worry about it.. Deere is coming out with a hybrid model in 2016.. With a 800k price tag.

I loved our 98 CTS2. Just chewed through barley and wheat. 275hp vs 260hp in the 97'CTS is the only major diff other than different corner post display I can remember.

I can only guess so. Looking at a CTS2 brochure, it has the 1600 rpm fan. It also says 'greenstar equipped', but it looks like Y + M are standard, while the brown box is not.

I can't pick any of the other upgrades out, but you would imagine they'd be in there.
