Does anyone know what the difference is, between a standard J.D. CTS of 1995-1997 vintage and a 1997 anniversary model.

Out of the brochure,
(On CTS machines)Improved material handling, including new slope divider, two speed over-speed beater drive, fine cut chopper.
Oil cooler for feederhouse reverser gearcase.
Multi socket power strip in cab.
Rubber tracks fully available in '97
Greenstar ready
250 rpm increase on cleaning fan.
new 'fat' chaffer extention fingers to prevent grain leakage into the fan.
New clamp for easier removal of dual wheels.
Plus a couple items to do with corn fronts

Except for the first item, it looks like those improvements would be on all '97 9000 series machines

Top man, Chompy!
Now, presumably most, if not all of those extras were carried over into the CTS 2?

I loved our 98 CTS2. Just chewed through barley and wheat. 275hp vs 260hp in the 97'CTS is the only major diff other than different corner post display I can remember.

I can only guess so. Looking at a CTS2 brochure, it has the 1600 rpm fan. It also says 'greenstar equipped', but it looks like Y + M are standard, while the brown box is not.

I can't pick any of the other upgrades out, but you would imagine they'd be in there.
