So is there a replacement disk out there that wears longer or is better than the John Deere disk. I am needing to replace my disks on my 1895 this year. And just curious if there is anything better than oem. thanks

The Ingersoll blades Exapta and others sell are significantly sharper when new. I have used two sets now (we replace our disks every year), and they seem good. They claim they stay sharper longer, but I don't know that they are that much sharper after a couple thousand acres. However, they are pretty similar in price (even after shipping from Exapta) to buying OEM from the local dealer, so I will stick with them for now. Otherwise, I would just buy the disks from Needham if I wanted ones similar to OEM.
