Had a customer call today and said his irrigation engine was shitting off due to
The temperature getting high. He said he removed the thermostats and it still ran hot. Pulled the water pump and all was ok there. I’m on vacation and can’t look at it until Monday. I told him to get an infrared gun and verify it is getting hot. Might be the sender. He did have to add about a gallon of water this year. The oil has no antifreeze in it. It doesn’t smoke white. I don’t know what to have him try while I’m gone. Any thoughts?

So today I went and looked at the engine. Customer had the engine in the yard. Ran it for 45 minutes. Engine got up to 190 degrees and stayed there the whole time. Called local irrigation well company and the think it’s in the well head. Something is pulling too hard causing engine to overheat. They will be out tomorrow to pull the pumps.
