Hi, can someone tell me what this is?

I would like to replace the 4 bumpers on the boom because it has too much backlash.

The washers in middle of picture act as a spring. They are Bellville washers ( cup shaped ). In the Deere online parts book it shows 6 of the cup washers and 1 flat washer. They cost $41.19 each (N317062) I have replaced some on a 4720 sprayer as they break and fall out. If you take it apart you will see that it only allows a very small amount of movement before the bolt stops travel. I would suggest that you make a tube spacer to replace the washers. The bumpers that sit inside the rockers sometimes break the steel plate inside the rocker and allow a lot of free play in the booms.

I think you have the Belleville springs all stacked with the cup the same way or they have collapsed. From memory the first 2 go together facing the same way, the next 2 go together facing opposite them, the next 1 goes opposite to that and the last one faces out towards the opposite end of the assembly.
You need to compress the assembly in a press to get the bolt in to hold it all together.

What they say about a picture and a thousand words. This might explain it better.
