Recently I have been wanting to upgrade my John Deere DR drill. I would like to find something that has fertilizer and press wheels. I would like to pull it behind my John Deere 4430 and chisel with sweeps. I only plan to plant around 50 acres with it. I would like to find one in the $500.00 to $1000.00 range. The other day I looked at a John Deere Drill that had everything on it that I am looking for. The serial number said DF208C. It was just used last year and looks like it has been kept inside most of its life, it still has a few rust spots on it though. Im going to guess it has 12 inch disk. I also believe it is on either 7.5 or 8 inch spacing. I think it is 13 foot long and has 20 openers. The gentleman is asking $1000.00 for it. I was curious if anybody had any experience with one of these or not, and if they were a very good drill or not? I was also wondering if they were very hard to set and is a $1000.00 a good price for on of these? Any time and help is appreciated.
