I have a JD 9400 combine and a 918 flex head. have the dial a matic in the 1st setting. it goes to the ground alright, but seems a bit jumpy when out in the field. should I look at the setting in the rate drop on combine, or the wiring on the header. any suggestions?

Our 9650 was doing same thing open accumulator all the way open and slow down rate of drop. Also your reels may be hitting the ground causing header to jump.

When you are sitting still and have it on the third setting does it bounce. This is a sign of low accumulator pressure. Just get it topped up.

Does your wiring harness go through the header at the feeder house. if so pull those wires out, they may be bare. See the other post with my call name on it. wornhard.
