I have key stock grates and small wire concaves in my 1460. will it clean wheat alright or do I need to put in slotted grates? I have cut milo with it and it did a good job but i was running large wire concaves? Thanks for your help.
it should do good we run small wire in first and second position and keystock grates on our 04 2366 and have been running that same setup on all our previous axial flows i/e 1460 1660 and 00 2366
it does an exceptional job getting the grain seperated we run the concaves prety tight at 1000 rpms on the rotor with the top sieve closed down tight about an 1/4 inch and bottoms at 1/2 in to 3/4 inch sample came out pretty clean in 75 bpa soft red winter wheat
We are running a 7088 this year. It is our first rotary machine after running walker machines our whole lives. We have put in the small wire concaves and slotted grates and were wondering if we needed to go ahead and put a cover on the grates for wheat. our wheat will range from 30-60 bushel wheat.
