So the tiger sharks are the very aggressive ones correct ?
That might be an easy way to try them on one header, just but compete knife instead of just sections.
Ya you bet. Just give yourself a day if you do order one. He gets them out of Regina. That price is for a DK 40ft as well.

Course is horrible if you have any grit, stone or course sand. We might use 25 sections a year between 5 heads cutting cereals and canola. Have had way less trouble using fine except MacDon only sells new FDs with Course.
We don’t have any issues running course either in just cereals and and canola! The fines go to crap just as quick once you start shaving the ground.

Yep. We used to do alot of forages and grass as well so dad always demanded we run fine serations. Well they wear out extremely quickly cutting beans on the ground . Switched to coarse last year and we are getting much longer wear out of them. With Crary guards you wear the knives dull before you break them anyways.

Personally I think the tigershark is a bit too aggressive but one of the headers I picked up end of last year has them so I'll try them out and see how they compare to herchel super heavy chrome and Crary coarse.

Knife sections are available in at least three thicknesses.

Regular. 830”
Heavy .100” & .109” and
Extra Heavy .116”

It appears that only one section shape may be produced for Macdon bolt spacing. Some of the other old school shapes are stronger and may cut better in tough conditions, but may not cut as fast in easy cutting situations.

See Westward page 263

It would appear that Extra Heavy would only be available as Saber Tooth Black, Top Serrated 14 tooth per inch Black, or Under Serrated plated.
