I am having problems with the krone ec7500 pushing leaves and blocking up the center of the head which is knocking down corn. Any ideas how to solve the problem? I have tried cutting at different heights and nothing I seem to do helps.

Make sure the head is completely unfolded flat. clean everything so it unfolds flat. Check to see if all cleaners are in place so chain isn't bringing corn back around. Those heads work great but as soon as you start seeing wear problems start.

Collector is probably riding up off stationary knifes. Tracks are getting wore out. Is it noisy? Look at track where bearings first start into it you will see a groove or ripples. How sharp are the knifes? Both stationary and moving? V knifes at each divider point getting dull. How about rotating disks? You can sharpen the disks with a hand grinder. Some times those dry leaves are a pain in the butt!

One side the knives are riding just a little off the the stationary knives. What do I need to do to get the knives back running on the stationary? Head runs smooth and quiet. Both knives are sharp. The v knives are a little dull.

Thanks for the help.

You can add shims under the stationary knifes, or maybe joeblo has some of his head kits yet. The v knifes help if sharp but only if collector is down on them. Other method is adding shims behind drive gearbox to change pitch of drive sprockets. This is the last option and not really a good one. What do your drive, idler sprockets look like? They also get worn and allow ride up.

I might be able to scrounge another set of parts to help with what you need. We built a few for a previous customer this summer. It will take me a week minimum by the time I get pieces cut and then fab it together. Then you have shipping time of upwards of a week if you are on the eastern side of the country.

It is possible though.

Bending the center guide bars back in closer to the collector couldn't hurt. Build or buy the lower bar for the right side which seems to be causing you the trouble in the pictures. V-knife and round knife in front of it HAVE to be SHARP. Also try going slower or turning the head a little faster. None of these are going to "fix" it. But the might help get the job done.
