Experiecing loss of power with L2. Noticed at end of season last year and was hopeing new fuel filters would solve the problem. Have replaced fuel filters but fuel resrtiction warning light still on and maximum RPM 2100 and falls below that if engine gets loaded. Any advice appeciated.

Had the same problem with our L2, at first we thought maybe the tank wasn't getting to breath so we cleaned off the fuel tank lid by getting all the dirt off of it, it helped for a couple hours when we started but then eventually the engine would start pulling down into the day. Replaced the filters and haven't had a problem since, but still make sure to clean off the fuel tank lid as that does seem to help a little bit.

You could have crud in the tank, plugging the fuel line. If you have a sediment bowl see if you are getting good fuel flow there and that the screen is clean. You can carefully use a air hose to blow back through the line. We had to end up running the tank near empty and cleaning it out. Had some sludge and other crap in the bottom, years of chaff falling in when refueling I'm guessing.

Our N5 was losing power a couple years ago. I can't remember if our fuel restriction light was on. I first found the screw to turn up the injector pump was loose. It had a jam num on it. I tightened it back up to the jam nut and that helped for a day. But then the problem got worse to where the engine wanted to die. This had an electric holly fuel lift pump on it. It was very dirty. It had always been clean before. I cleaned it off and discovered fuel dripping from it. Long story short, replace the electric lift pump and much improved power. I believe it was sucking air in. Speedway motors in Lincoln Ne sells the same holley pump for $85 verses the dealer wanted 200 something. I don't know if your L2 has any sort of lift pump with the tank behind the engine, but might want to see if you have any sort of weak spots that may suck air or a hose collapsing.
