2014 model 960 with def and a single turbo v-8 merc. How are these later models holding up? Are all the growing pains with the v-max cutter head over? Are the single turbo engines holding up better? Any other problems or downfalls to these machines? How well does yield and moisture work, as well as auto contour and row sensing? Any other options worth or not worth getting? Seriously weighing our options and taking a long hard look at going back to Claas.

Local custom guy finally had claas refund the money they spent on the yield monitoring on their 960. It just does not work. The new 2015s have a totally different system with a NIR moisture sensor, but it will only work in hay for now, corn silage maps should become available in the future. I ordered a 2015 950 and did not get the yield monitoring system.

I think the 497s have a just a small change to how the knives are bolted in there. Just a special piece that alligns the knive to the drum.
