Will a lateral tilt on a R72 work on a 5100 draper head? If not, is it possible to widen the opening on the head and just leave the tilt mechanism turned off? I see nothing in the manual about the 5100 series, hence the questions. Thanks, Richard
I'm not familiar with the 5100 head, but we have lateral tilt. The opening to the head is the same on both types I believe. The lateral tilt will move the head @ 3 inches away from feeder chain and that may cause a feeding problem. With lateral tilt on the combine you can leave it in manual mode which is what you do with a flex head locked up for wheat.
