our single point hookup is forever blowing seals. we are running a macdon flexdraper. could carrying all the weight of the hydraulic tilt cause this?

I know of at least 6 machines that have been running larger flexdrapers with no seal problems. Do you clean the block faces well before hookup? Those things hate dirt. Does it blow the seals during operation or does it seem to cut them when hooking/unhooking?

i would think they are. the combine tech at the local dealer installed them and he has an excellent reputation.

You will have to figure out exactly when it is blowing the seal (like when you are using the hydraulics or right after you hook it up). I would guess that there is something sharp or a little imperfection allowing oil to bypass. I dont think there is a lot pressure passing through single point hook up. If oil starts bypassing it will cut seals.
