We are thinking about putting a 35 foot max flex on our 560R. Is this too big of a Head for it? We called Altorfer today and they confirmed that Claas makes a Kit to put a Max flex on a Standard Feeder house and we also decided that we are going to have Altorfer come out and reprogram the C9 cat to The 570R standards and put a 570R Turbo on our 560R. They said It will take about 3000 dollars and we will then Have 353 horsepower. We run a 12 row corn head on it so the weight of the platform should not be a issue. TIA

It's not too big of a head, but it won't work with a standard feederhouse. A max flex head will hang on and latch to a standard feederhouse, but when it is lowered to let the max flex cutter bar cut beans, the cutter bar angle will be tilted up too much and it won't cut low enough. The kit your dealer is referring to is not a wedge kit, or something like it, so it won't let you change the angle of the head to cut beans. You will need an HP feederhouse to do that.
