Has anyone locked up the mechanism in retractable tine drum to prevent it from reversing when using the feeder reverser? Have taken out washers/shims over the last couple of years and now it’s getting stuck in the reversed position again. I know a new clutch will sort it but I want to delete it all together as it’s not required. I’m happy to tie it in place with wire, just want to know if anyone else has done it without issue. Cheers

We run 6 side by side and one started not being able to back out the wads and would have to unhook the header. Was the green guy so I let it go on for a day then realized something had to be up. The fingers stayed forward on it.
Maybe it’s because we cut the extra flighting off for the wide feeder house. Nonetheless it certainly don’t reverse as good stuck forward. Same reason the turbo drums don’t reverse out as good either.

Thanks for the replies. Glad to know it can be done easily.
Have only ever had a couple of feeder blockages and they weren’t bad, so shouldn’t be an issue. Have a CR and 99.9% of the time run the feeder reverser as part of the procedure to reset the stone trap.
