We used one last year in the first position. It was okay in low yielding corn, but once we got to the good stuff we decided to change it. It had a bunch of kernels stuck in it, along with pieces of cob. We were also getting some cracking. We put a large wire back in and was happier.
Loewen Helical in Corn
I've done a search on this but can't seem to find any info regarding them in corn.
How do they perform in corn? and what type of setup from front to back (concaves/grates) do you use with the helical?
