Yeah, I know there are already a lot of threads on the topic of helical concaves, but as far as I know none of them answer my question, and besides, I loathe necroposting.

Anyway, has anybody ever used a Lowen helical in corn and beans? Dad got one for the first position thinking we could leave it in all the time, but now I'm not so sure. It's got wires in it that are very similar to small-wire concaves. I'm worried about it being too aggressive and cracking grain. Would the Lowen work, or would we be better off just throwing in the large wire concave?
