We have lumps in our urea blend and do every year, does straight urea clump up when stored over winter. Might spread my sulphur in fall if it doesn't clump up

Even if your retailer uses an appropriate screen you can still have lumps. I screen everything in to the cart conveyor and very surprised at wat I’ve found over the years. Nails. Wood and a bungy cord plus a lot of thick rust flakes. Screen it yourself and avoid a blockage.

This would be in Saskatchewan and fertilizer that is stored from January till now for seeding. Does a lump buster work or does it make too much fines?

Straight urea clumps terribly, maybe even worse. We get 25% ESN blended into our urea now, so we can put more on the seed row, and it almost completely eliminated the clumping. It's a little pricey, just for avoiding clumps, but it's an added bonus if you're using some ESN anyway.
