I have lots of whole corn cobs with no kernels on them overloading the shoe on my M3. This also makes for more residue in the middle that is not getting dispersed thru the chopper. Also have to slow down to keep from overloading the sieves. I believe the walkers are all the way forward.? Is my separator raddle chain going too slow? Any thoughts.

There is a seperator raddle "speed-up" sprocket available as an option and is a good thing. Also if you engine speed is slow it will add to the problem.....2570 rpm tops. Walkers cannot be moved fore and aft on any L or M series. Also make sure the metal curtain anove the sep raddle is removed for corn !!!!!!!!!!!! and soybeans. Also be sure your walkers aren't missing the front 10 inches of the walker and the cobs are falling thru. The belt on the RH side that drives the cleaning fan has to be TIGHT !!(and in good condition) because if it slips, everything slows down on the rear of the machine.

It has been a while since I ran Gleaners. Do you change the sprocket on left side of cylinder that drives the thresher beater? If I remember correctly, you have to go to a larger sprocket to speed up the beater. One sprocket for small grains and the other for corn and soybeans when cylinder is run at lower speeds. This will keep trash fluffed up and thrown back further onto seperator rattle chain and on to straw walkers.
